
Dee Ann Harwell, MS, RDN, LDN
Dee knew she wanted to a dietitian since learning about the digestive system in 10th grade science class. She received a Bachelor of Science degree with a double concentration in Dietetics and Food Service Administration from Tennessee Technological University. She completed the dietetic internship and recieved a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from East Tennessee State University. In 2001, Dee spearheaded Dynamic Dietetics, Inc. to help individuals seeking answers about what they can eat when diagnosed with a chronic disease and offer customized services for organizations seeking a Registered Dietitian. She enjoys volunteering as a board member for the local and state level Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
In 2003, she married Gary, an accountant, and it was natural fit for him to join the Dynamic Dietetics team. Fast forward to today and she is still doing what she loves and is thankful that over half of her team members have worked with her for over ten years. Dee is a social butterfly and enjoys planning special occasion parties for friends. Some her favorites things are: concerts, bike rides, paddling her canoe, and playing with cats.

Gary Harwell, MBA
Gary attended Middle Tennessee State University to receive a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He worked in cost accounting many years and went back to school and obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. His expertise in number crunching helps keep Dynamic Dietetics running smoothly. Gary as many hobbies: paddling, riding his Harley with Dee, hiking, and he is always reading to learn something new.

Christie Gray
Christie is the heart of the office and truly loves helping everyone that calls, emails, or comes to the office. As Office Manager, she is very knowledgeable and able to answer questions to help our patients and business associates During her tenure starting in 2009, she has gained a better understanding of insurance billing, coordinating schedules, and networking with doctors. She and her husband, George, love participating in The Boys and Girls Club, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and volunteering for other civic organizations. She loves to travel and spending time with her blended family of 5 children, 1 granddaughter, and her fur baby, Callie.

Laurie McGuire, RDN, LDN
Laurie McGuire has been a registered dietitian for 30 years and joined our team in 2013. Her desire to study nutrition began in high school where she ran track and cross country competitively. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Nebraska and completed her dietetic internship at the Medical College of Virginia Hospital.
She enjoys working with clients to help them find ways to live a healthy lifestyle. She believes that little changes over time lead to permanent healthy habits. She still enjoys running, as well as swimming, weight lifting and yoga. Her hobbies include cooking healthy meals, and watching her grandchildren on the ball field.

Nancy Fletcher, RD, CSR
Nancy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a second major in Biology from Middle Tennessee State University and then complete a didactic program in dietetics at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga before completing her dietetic internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She joined our team in 2006 and has worked with our healthcare partner, Dialysis Clinic, Inc for 13 years. She has the prestigious title of Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSR) granted by the Commission on Dietetics Registrar. What Nancy finds especially rewarding about working in dialysis is being part of an interdisciplinary team that helps people who are dealing with a chronic illness achieve and maintain their maximum quality of life. When she’s not playing cards with her friends or reading mystery and suspense novels, Nancy enjoys spending time with her family and fun-loving miniature schnauzer, Maggie.

Janis Franks, NDTR
Janis has zeal for life and she is game for anything. Janis retired from being Director of Dietary Services at Rhea Medical and joined our team in 2016. Her vast experience enables her to help people better understand nutrition science to achieve their health goals. She is an expert in kitchen safety inspections and USDA regulations. She has a love for teaching and public speaking, such as Serv Safe training, diabetes education, and heart healthy classes. She graduated from Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio with an Associate Degree in Applied Science and Dietetics. She has been married to Mike for 44 years, they have 5 children and 10 grandchildren. In her spare time, Janis volunteers as a board member for Rhea Senior Neighbors in Dayton, TN. Her hobbies include traveling, cooking for her family, walking, church activities, and gardening.

Danielle Townsend, RDN, LDN
Danielle received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and completed the Dietetic Intership at Nicholls State University in her home state Louisana. She joined our team in 2016. She has over a decade experience in clinical dietetics and food service management. She currently provides nutrition counseling with our healthcare partner Primary Healthcare Centers to help people meet their nutrition goals. She is our editorial and PR whiz. She is a major contributor to our Facebook page, editor of our Nutrition & You newsletter, and our chef extraordinaire for occasional cooking demos. She has been featured in Chattanooga’s HealthScope magazine and contributes articles for the Times Free Press. She is our local go-to RD for public speaking; shes has appeared on Rossville’s UCTV The Morning Show and Night Talk and Chattanooga’s This ‘N That several times. In her free time, Danielle enjoys cooking, binging on Netflix shows, entertaining friends, and loving on her four cats.

Heather Wehunt, MS, RDN, LDN
Heather Wehunt is a master’s level Registered Dietitian working with our healthcare partner Dialysis Clinic, Inc. in Jasper, TN and provides telehealth nutrition counseling. Heather received a Bachelor of Science in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics from Carson Newman University and her Master of Science in Nutrition from Arizona State University. She joined our team in 2015. As a food and nutrition expert, Heather’s primary focus is encouraging healthy eating patterns across the lifespan and promoting balanced, intuitive eating and is passionate about eating real food that tastes good. Heather and her husband, Michael joyfully spend time with their first born son, Maddox. Heather enjoys spending time with her family and their beloved Yorkshire terrier, Jeter.
